Do This in Preparing for Pregnancy

Some pregnancy preparation steps related to the diet and some routine checks are often done. However, the things below are often forgotten by the couple in preparing for pregnancy:
  • Stop buying clothes

  • Tantalizing discounts make a young mother sometimes forget that she is planning a pregnancy. The result is buying clothes often done. Yet as we know that during pregnancy, a woman's body will experience more rapid growth than before. Clothing purchased before pregnancy certainly will not be able to accommodate the body while being pregnant later. If you still want to shop, it is advisable to buy shoes, bags, or other accessories rather than shopping for clothes because they tend to still be used when pregnant or after having children.
  • Vaccinating

  • There are various types of infections that can harm the fetus if you get pregnant later. Consult your obstetrician if you need additional protection in the face of the infection. One infection to look out for is rubella or German measles. If necessary, your doctor can advise you to vaccinate. Rubella vaccination (MMR vaccine) is only recommended for women who are not yet pregnant and can only be done at least a month before the pregnancy arrives. Also, be aware of several infections that could potentially harm you while pregnant later. Be sure to consult how to reduce risk, prevent and mitigate it. Some infections that must be known are cytomegalovirus (CMV) and toxoplasma.
  • Visit to the dentist

  • Hormonal changes that occur during pregnancy can make pregnant women vulnerable to dental and gum disease. However, rarely involving dentists when preparing for pregnancy, even though dental health will also have an impact on maternal health during pregnancy later. Increased progesterone and estrogen during pregnancy may cause gums to react to bacteria that gather in dental plaque. This can cause inflammation of the gums and swollen gums easily, making it more prone to bleed when brushing your teeth.
  • Move house as soon as possible

  • Are you planning a pregnancy together with a plan to move to your own house? Try to move house before undergoing pregnancy. A new home might make pregnant women more psychologically comfortable during pregnancy. In addition, taking care of moving residence will be more troublesome if done when the wife is pregnant. By moving to their own home, it is possible for babies to get separate rooms. However, that does not mean babies sleeping separately is a better choice than sleeping with parents. Indeed, by having their own room the baby tends to be able to sleep longer, but in fact the most recommended is a separate baby bed, but still in the same bedroom with parents.
  • Undergo an exercise program

  • Fitness also affects the preparation of a person's pregnancy. Your doctor will determine the fitness program that suits you. Usually the recommended program is a light training program, such as walking, cycling, or weight training. The exercise is recommended to be done for 30 minutes every day.
Flexibility or flexibility of the body also needs to be considered by women who are planning a pregnancy. For this reason, physical activity in the form of stretching or yoga is recommended to improve this. This fitness program can also be done when women undergo pregnancy. Of course you need to involve a doctor to ensure safety. Although the five things above are rarely done when preparing for pregnancy, it does not mean it does not need to be considered.
